La Comisión recibió información sobre la presunta falta de imparcialidad de las Salas Constitucional, Político-Administrativa y Electoral del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia como consecuencia de la modificación en 2004 de su ley orgánica que determinó el incremento en el número de magistrados que integran dicho Tribunal y su nombramiento por mayoría simple, en vez de calificada, por parte de la Asamblea Nacional. Los peticionarios informaron que en un estudio que realizaron de más de 40.000 decisiones, la vigencia del referido sistema de nombramiento así como del control político ejercido por altas autoridades del Estado, habría ocasionado que entre los años 2005 y 2013 se fallara c
