Summary
Writers Ann Patchett and Kate DiCamillo are major fans of one another's books, so much so that Patchett wrote an essay in the New York Times in 2020 declaring that although she initially meant to read just one of DiCamillo's books, "in the end I read them all because I wanted to keep the genius of Kate DiCamillo in my head." Patchett's latest novel is "Tom Lake" and DiCamillo, the former National Ambassador for Young People's Literature, will publish "The Puppets of Spelhorst" in October 2023.
