Summary

Description ARCSIX is the Arctic Radiation Cloud Aerosol Surface Interaction Experiment. The overarching goal of ARCSIX is to measure sea ice melt in the Arctic by gathering data about surface properties, clouds, aerosol particles, and precipitation. It will help NASA scientists better understand cloud effects on the Earth’s radiation budget. The measurements will be used to improve space-based monitoring of Arctic sea ice and contribute to finding the specific causes of the increased melts since they directly affect the entire Earth system.
