Summary
| Description | NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Jeremy Hansen train for their venture around the Moon. The Artemis II crew will be the first people in more than 50 years to set eyes on the far side of the Moon, depending on illumination conditions. They will document their observations through photographs, audio recordings, and more to inform our understanding of the Moon, and share their experience of being far from Earth. The Artemis II test flight will help confirm the foundational systems and hardware needed for human deep space exploration. This is the first crewed flight under NASA’s Artemis campaign and is another step toward new U.S.-crewed missions on the Moon’s surface and helping the agency prepare for sending the first astronauts to Mars. This resource reel includes lunar flyby photography training footage recorded in November 2025 at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. |
