Summary

Description (Critical) This program is an overview of anesthetic procedure for blocking the brachial plexus. Basic anatomy is briefly reviewed and a step-by-step analysis of the procedures and techniques is illustrated in a clinical example. Although major and minor complications are addressed, the need to monitor the patient or to provide resuscitative equipment are not discussed. No other axillary techniques of brachial plexus block are mentioned. The diagrams, the use of color, and the camera angles are good. The program is recommended with reservations for use.
