| Description | I was blessed with the opportunity to speak with Billy Garrett, the first NBA player diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. As a leader with sickle cell disease, doing the podcast with Billy was deeply personal because my condition hindered my stamina to play basketball and participate in other athletic endeavors at a high level. So to speak to Billy about how he was able to persist through his sickle cell crises and play for the NBA was incredibly inspiring.
