Summary
| Description | (Critical) This program is a general overview of the purpose for and procedure of cardiac catheterization. In a case study of a 47-year old man with myocardial infarction and angina pectoris the procedure is implemented to determine the functional and anatomical condition of the heart. Coronary angiographic material is skimmed too quickly; the findings, pressures, and obstructions are not explained or illustrated; and the fluoroscopic visualization is poor. While the setting'srealism is commendable, exposure of the patient's genitals is unnecessary. This program is recommended with reservations for use. Credits: Lawrence P. Temkin, John Hall, William T.
