Summary

Description Cochlear otosclerosis is a rare, inherited condition that causes hearing loss. Several images of the inner ear are presented to show the exact anatomical effect of otosclerosis. In addition, several charts are presented to compare different levels of hearing loss among patients with this same condition. Different surgeries are also presented, and their positive/negative effects are compared and analyzed in detail. A combination of sodium fluoride, vitamin D, and calcium are recommended by the presenting doctor as treatment methods for patients with otosclerosis.
