Summary

Description	This military training film on dental health is designed for army troops. Over appropriate animation and classroom scenes, a narrator/dental officer explains the structure and function of human teeth. The process of tooth decay, abcess, and systematic infection is illustrated. The basic rules for maintaining good dental health are presented. An army-issue tooth brush is shown close-up. The dental officer demonstrates the proper method of brushing and flossing on a set of articulated dentures. He discusses gum disease and pyorrhea, their causes and prevention. Over footage showing a patient with and without his dentures, the dental officer gives advice on how to wear dentures and the importance of wearing them if needed. He gives tips on caring for dentures and how to bite and chew using dentures over footage of a seargent with dentures eating properly in the mess hall.
