Summary
Ceunant Llennyrch National Nature Reserve (NNR) near Trawsfynydd in Gwynedd has been massively extended. Often referred to as a Celtic rainforest due to its humid conditions and wealth of wildlife The whole area – the size of 400 football pitches - will be managed to conserve its exceptional qualities. We’ll also improve access for people can enjoy nature at its best. 200 species of mosses and liverworts are found here. More than 200 species of lichen thrive on the tree trunks. Redstart and wood warblers, otters and rare lesser horseshoe bats live here. Conservation in partnership between Natural Resources Wales and The Woodland Trust.
