Summary

Description The unpiloted Northrop Grumman CRS-18 Cygnus cargo craft launched November 6 on an Antares rocket from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, beginning a two-day flight to the International Space Station. Dubbed the “SS Sally Ride” for the late NASA astronaut who made history as the first American woman to fly in space, Cygnus is filled with food, fuel, research investigations, and supplies, and will be captured by the station’s robotic arm and installed to the nadir port of the Unity module of the space station on November 8.
