Summary

Teams associated with NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) Program conducted a hot fire test of the first SLS core stage on March 18, 2021, on the B-2 Test Stand at Stennis Space Center. All four RS-25 engines were fired for a full-duration test, just as during an actual launch. The accompanying footage from a mounted on-stand camera provides a view of the core stage during the hot fire test. The March 18 hot fire culminated a yearlong series of tests on the rocket stage and its integrated systems prior the stage’s launch on the Artemis I mission.
