| Description | A group of water springtails (Sminthurides aquaticus). Original description on Flickr: A mature female repeatedly repels an immature male. It's a shame it's a little dark. I forfeited a little brightness for depth of field, but in retrospect, the brightness might have been better. It's worth noticing that the male doing the wooing has his antennae crooked in readiness, while the other males' antennae are straight. |
