| Description | (Critical) This program presents the clinical manifestations of high altitude pulmonary edema. Majors topics from symptomatology and physical findings are outlined and developed. The presentation is accurate and current. Thus, the program is highly recommended for practitioners of family and emergency medicine and nurses. Pulmonary edema, or a condition caused by excess fluid in the lungs, occurs relatively frequently among healthy people in high altitudes. The video starts with a brief description of a family skiing in the mountains who find themselves struggling with various negative symptoms. The video then directs its attention to a doctor, who explains the mechanics of the lungs and why pulmonary edemas occur.
