| Description | In this introductory panel for the Education Space of Wikimania 2019, we will hold a discussion on why UNESCO's SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) is a valuable framework that participants in the Open Education movement should care about. Our panelist will represent different perspectives, from ones in the Wikimedia Movement, to others from the broader Open Education Movement. Together we will discuss why and how is would make sense to join forces and combine efforts to advance Open Education, with Wikimedia in Education efforts being one part of a much larger global picture.
