| Description | Expedition 59-60 Crew Prepares for Launch in Kazakhstan Description: At the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, Expedition 59-60 Soyuz Commander Alexey Ovchinin of Roscosmos and NASA Flight Engineers Nick Hague and Christina Koch and their backups, Alexander Skvortsov of Roscosmos, Drew Morgan of NASA and Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency participated in a variety of activities Feb. 26-Mar. 6 as they prepared for the launch of Ovchinin, Hague and Koch on March 14, U.S. time, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in the Soyuz MS-12 spacecraft for a six-and-a-half month mission on the International Space Station. The footage includes the crew’s arrival in Baikonur, their Soyuz fit check in the Cosmodrome’s Integration Facility, the ceremonial Cosmonaut Hotel flag-raising ceremony, the crew’s traditional media day activities and other training milestones. |
