Description
English: New Crew Launches to the International Space Station for Expedition 59-60 Mission A trio of spacefarers have launched to the International Space Station. Expedition 59-60 Soyuz Commander Alexey Ovchinin of Roscosmos and NASA Flight Engineers Nick Hague and Christina Koch launched on the Russian Soyuz MS-12 spacecraft on March 14, U.S. time, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The two U.S. astronauts and cosmonaut began a six-hour journey to the International Space Station and the start of a six-and-a-half-month mission on the outpost where they will conduct important research investigations. The footage also contains the crew’s prelaunch activities, including their departure from their Cosmonaut Hotel crew quarters, their suit-up in the Cosmodrome’s Integration Facility, walk out to their crew bus and arrival at the launch pad to board their spacecraft. The video also includes post-launch interviews with Joel Montalbano, Deputy ISS Program Manager and William Gerstenmaier, NAS
