Summary
An unpiloted SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft arrived at the International Space Station July 27,2019 days after its launch atop the company’s Falcon 9 rocket from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. After a flawless rendezvous with the station, Expedition 60 Flight Engineers Nick Hague and Christina Koch of NASA used the Canadarm2 robotic arm to capture Dragon, before turning the operation over to robotic ground controllers, who then maneuvered Dragon to the Earth-facing port of the Harmony module where it was installed and bolted into place for a month-long stay. Dragon delivered several tons of supplies, scientific experiments and a new International Docking Adapter to the complex that will be installed next month on the space-facing port of the Harmony module, expanding the capability for commercial crew vehicles to arrive and remain docked to the orbital outpost in the years ahead.
