Description FUTURE SPACE STATION CREW DISCUSSES SEPTEMBER LAUNCH AND MISSION At the Johnson Space Center in Houston, a pair of future space station residents and a spaceflight participant discussed their upcoming launch in September on a Russian Soyuz rocket to the International Space Station and their mission during a news conference July 15. NASA’s Jessica Meir (pron: MEER), Oleg Skripochka of Roscosmos and Hazzaa Ali Almansoori of the United Arab Emirates are scheduled to launch Sept. 25 on the Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Meir and Skripochka will be in orbit for six months on the orbital complex, while Almansoori will spend eight days in space under a contract between the UAE and Roscosmos, returning to Earth on Oct. 3.
