Description Expedition 64 Space Station Crew Prepares for Launch as Soyuz Rolls to the Pad At the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, Expedition 64 Soyuz Commander Sergey Ryzhikov of Roscosmos and Flight Engineers Sergey Kud-Sverchkov of Roscosmos and Kate Rubins of NASA participated in final prelaunch training activities as the Soyuz MS-17 spacecraft that will launch them to the International Space Station was transported to the launch pad in Baikonur Oct. 11. The crew’s backups, Oleg Novitskiy and Petr Dubrov of Roscosmos and Mark Vande Hei of NASA also participated in the training. Ryzhikov, Kud-Sverchkov and Rubins are preparing for launch Oct. 14 for a six-month mission on the International Space Station. The footage includes the crew’s final Soyuz fit check activities on Oct. 8 and the rollout of the Soyuz rocket to the launch pad in Baikonur on Oct. 11.
