Description SPACE STATION CREW ASTRONAUT DISCUSSES LIFE IN SPACE WITH EUROPEAN MINISTERS Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 66 Flight Engineer Matthias Maurer of ESA (European Space Agency) discussed the start of his planned six-month mission on the orbital outpost during an in-flight event Nov. 19 with European ministers gathered for an annual meeting in Portugal. Maurer launched as part of the Crew-3 crew aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon “Endurance” on Nov. 10, arriving on the laboratory on Nov. 11 for a six-month mission living and working aboard the microgravity laboratory to advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate new technologies for future human and robotic exploration missions.
