Summary

Ah yes, the roar of the engine, the high tech equipment, and… the checkered flag? It's not NASA, it's NASCAR.. well, as a matter of fact, it's both. Driver Tim Fedewa stopped by the Kennedy Space Center in July to take a look at the hardware that's helping NASCAR improve their own speedsters. 'Some of the lubricant has been developed here and fallen over into NASCAR and the racing industry. I know some of the heat shields that we use, to keep us... we put them on our floorboards to keep the exhaust heats from coming up into the car and making them even hotter.. it's used on the Shuttle, actually.' Fedewa is a big fan of the space program, especially the new Vision, which will send explorers to the Moon, Mars, and even farther into the Universe. 'I think there's more out there than we know. The more advanced we get technologically, the more things we find. It might not be something big, but it'll lead to something bigger, and years from now, we're going to amaze ourselves
