Summary
[edit]| Description | English: The seven astronauts aboard space shuttle Discovery receive the 'go' for the deorbit burn and begin their descent back to Earth after the STS-120 mission. The mission was the 23rd assembly flight to the space station and the 34th flight for Discovery. During the 15-day mission, the astronauts conducted four spacewalks to continue on-orbit construction and repair work at the station. The major tasks include the installation of the Harmony Node 2 module, the relocation of the P6 truss and the repair of a torn solar array on the P6 truss. |
