| Description | This presentation shows the procedures necessary to correct the bladder which has multiple diverticula. Presentation includes the incision; insertion of the black silk guy sutures; suture and ligation of large vessels of the superior aspect of the bladder; introduction of bladder retractor; entrances to both large and small diverticulum and the insertion of packing into the large one; dissection of peritoneum from bladder and its delivery from the pelvis; removal of pack and inversion of diverticulum into bladder; inversion of sac accomplished by hand posterior to the bladder; excision of sac and suture of bladder; delivery and excision of second diverticulum; suture of bladder wall with drainage tube in place; closure of abdominal wall with drainage tube in space of Retzius, and wound closed.
