| Description | On Saturday, August 24, NASA leadership including Administrator Bill Nelson; NASA Associate Administrator Jim Free; Ken Bowersox, associate administrator, NASA’s Space Operations Mission Directorate; Steve Stich, manager, NASA’s Commercial Crew Program; Dana Weigel, manager, NASA’s International Space Station; and Norm Knight, director, NASA’s Flight Operations Directorate discussed the latest status update on the agency's Crew Flight Test, or CFT, and plans to return the spacecraft to Earth. CFT is the first flight of humans aboard Boeing's Starliner spacecraft, which carried NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams to the International Space Station after launching atop ULA's Atlas V rocket on June 6, 2024.
