Summary
[edit]| DescriptionEzh3 metro train in a tunnel.webm | English: B-roll and sound bites for media and public use. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory invited members of the news media to see the agency’s Europa Clipper spacecraft on April 11, 2024. The spacecraft was in the High Bay 1 clean room of JPL’s Spacecraft Assembly Facility, where attendees spoke with scientists and engineers on the mission team. This reel includes b-roll of the spacecraft in the clean room, JPL-recorded sound bites with mission team members, and highlights of the mission animation. Europa Clipper will orbit Jupiter and perform 50 close flybys of its moon Europa. There’s strong evidence that beneath Europa’s icy surface is a global ocean of water, and scientists want to investigate whether this is an environment that could support life. Europa Clipper is expected to launch in October 2024 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It will arrive at Jupiter in 2030.
