| Description | NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, as well as JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Kimiya Yui and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov splashed down off the coast of San Diego, California Jan. 15 following their undocking from the forward port of the International Space Station’s Harmony module the day prior. Crew-11 was completing a long-duration mission living and working aboard the microgravity laboratory to advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate new technologies for future human and robotic exploration flights as part of NASA’s Moon and Mars exploration approach, including lunar missions through NASA’s Artemis program. |
