Description The new Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s (JAXA) HTV-X1 cargo ship arrived at the International Space Station Oct. 29, where it was robotically captured by the station’s Canadarm2 operated by JAXA astronaut Kimiya Yui and mechanically installed on the Earth-facing port of the Harmony module for a three-month stay. Loaded with more than four tons of food and supplies for the Expedition 73 crew, HTV-X1 launched on Oct. 25, U.S. time, atop an H3 rocket from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan.
