| Description | The purpose of this motion picture is to alert surgeons to postoperative velopharyngeal-incompetence complications in adenotonsillectomy. The film was produced at the request of ear, nose, and throat specialists involved in court consultations and lawsuits brought after tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy procedures produced excessive post-operative hypernasal speech. While produced specifically for ENT specialists, the film will be of interest to oral surgeons, orthodontists, prosthodontists, and speech pathologists. Credits: Consultants, Stanley W.
