| Description | On Dec. 4, NASA held a briefing at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida to provide an overview of the next mission to the International Space Station. SpaceX’s 21st contracted cargo resupply mission (CRS) to the International Space Station for NASA will deliver more than 6,400 pounds of science and research, crew supplies and vehicle hardware to the orbital laboratory and its crew. The mission will be the first on an upgraded version of the company’s Dragon cargo spacecraft that can carry more science payloads to and from the orbiting laboratory. Participants in the briefing included: Kenny Todd the deputy program manager for the International Space Station Program; Kirt Costello the chief scientist for the International Space Station Program; Sarah Walker the director for Dragon mission management at SpaceX; Melody Lovin the launch weather officer, 45th Space Wing, U.S. Air Force.
