Summary
| Description | B-roll footage shows activities related to the wet dress rehearsal exercise for the core stage of NASA's Space Launch System rocket on the B-2 Test Stand at Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Operators conducted the wet dress rehearsal Dec. 21, 2020, in preparation for the final hot fire of the core stage's four RS-25 engines early in 2021. The hot fire will culminate a series of eight Green Run tests on the core stage and its integrated systems. Following hot fire, the stage will be prepared and transported to Kennedy Space Center for mating with the rest of the rocket and launch on the Artemis I test mission. B-roll shows several activities - propellant barges docked at the B-2 Test Stand, water flowing in the stand flame deflector as it will during hot fire, venting of liquid oxygen from the RS-25 engines and facility piping, and venting of liquid oxygen near the top of the core stage. |
