| Description | This production shows a gastroenterostomy (the standard operation for lesions of the stomach). This film speaks of symptoms indicating the need for this procedure (Wolfler method) and gives historical information on the procedure. Clinical data of patient is shown along with his stomach X-rays. Anatomy adjacent to stomach, along with illustrations of operative techniques are also shown. The operation follows step-by-step: 1) sutures join stomach to jejunum; 2) stomach and jejunum opened, posterior margins sutured; 3) anterior margins of stomach and jejunum united; 4) anterior row of sutures completes anastomosis; 5) stomach sutured to opening in meso-colon.
