Summary
| Description | (Critical) This module, part of a series on the Denar system, illustrates some of the capabilities of the Denar articulator in recording jaw movements for the construction of fixed dental restorations. The Kinematic type facebow is demonstrated both clinically and as an integral part of the articulator. The techniques employed for stabilization of the pantograph and for mounting the maxillary clutch to the facebow are unreliable and will serve to undermine the instrument's accuracy. Contrary to the title's implication, this is not a beginner's introduction to the instrument; the program's assumption of extensive knowledge on the part of the audience is complicated by a somewhat disjointed perspective. The result is a review useful only to the experienced viewer. To augment a lecture or demonstration, or in conjunction with the other units in this series, this program is recommended for use. |
