Summary

Description (Critical) This program presents a method for assessing a newborn's gestational age through using a scoring system based on findings upon physical and neurological examinations. Ten neurological signs and ten physical signs are scored according to clearly delineated criteria. The combined total score is used to determine gestational age by relating this score to birth weight. The presentation is well done and consistent. Thus, this program is highly recommended for obstetricians, neonatologists and pediatricians. Credits: Lilly Dubowitz, Victor Dubowitz.
