| DescriptionAurora-Iceland Northern Lights timelapse 2026-02-06.hd | English: I was in Iceland looking for the Aurora Borealis and took a big tour out to go find it. The space weather wasn't cooperative, but with the help of a 5 second exposure my camera captured some green dancing across the night sky. The green is caused by charged particles in the solar wind interacting with monatomic oxygen. The stars are out of focus which is why they appear as large white blobs. Time lapse of 253 photos taken 5 seconds apart. 1265 seconds elapsed time (21 minutes). | ||
