Summary

Description This program argues that behavior among alcoholics is poorly understood and that better research and data are needed. To garner accurate information, the presenter recommends talking to the alcoholic's spouse or co-workers, as the alcoholic may be in denial about his or her condition. Alcoholism is also discussed in relation to smoking, other substances, and fetal alcohol syndrome. Methods of testing the struggling alcoholic to ensure they are taking the correct prescribed medication are shown. Credits: Charles E. Becker.
