Summary
| Description | (Critical) This program demonstrates the hemisection technique for mandibular molars. Indications, a technical description, and a display of the live surgical procedure are presented. The narration is somewhat vague and monotonous, but the content is well-oragnized and graphics are effectively incorporated. Local anesthesia, flap design, post-operative complications, and various treatments of the chamber are omitted from the discussion. Some inaccuracies in the surgical procedure are noted. Considerable knowledge of oral surgical procedures is necessary to understand the procedure and a more thorough explanation of the use of hemisection is needed. The program is recommended for use.
