| Description | IXPE Prelaunch News Conference with representatives from NASA, Ball Aerospace, SpaceX, and Space Launch Delta 45. IXPE, the first mission of its kind, will measure polarized X-rays from objects, such as black holes and neutron stars. This mission is set to launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Dec. 9, 2021, from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The launch is managed by NASA’s Launch Services Program based at Kennedy Space Center.
