Summary
| Description | Loaded with food, fuel, and supplies, the unpiloted Northrop Grumman CRS-23 Cygnus XL cargo spacecraft arrived to the International Space Station Sept. 18 where it was installed to the nadir port of the Unity module. Dubbed the “S.S. William ‘Willie’ McCool” for the late NASA astronaut who perished during the Columbia accident, Cygnus launched from the Space Launch Complex 40 in Florida on Sept. 14 atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and will remain at the space station for approximately six months.
