| Description | Dr. Ursula Bellugi, Director of the Laboratory for Cognitive Neuroscience at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, explores the biological foundation of language by comparing brain functions of people who use spoken language with those of people who communicate in sign language. She also presents research on the brain organization of people suffering genetically-based disorders, such as Williams Syndrome, that affect language and learning ability.
