Summary

Description (Critical) This program demonstrates the standard American Heart Association method of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Unwitnessed one and two person CPR is demonstrated, as well as handling of the obstructed airway and infant CPD. Airwayobstruction is treated by back blows and abdominal thrusts. This approach has been questioned by some authorities who favor only the Heimlich maneuver. The program is well designed and its organization is logical. However, to acheive the stated objectives namely to be able to perform CPR, "hands-on" experience is essential. The program is recommended. Credits: Gwendolyn Schmidt, Charles Kanakis.
