Summary

Description This film explains the problems faced by the deaf, shows the initial impact on the parents of the deaf children, traces the development and training of the deaf child from the entry into the Lexington School through the years of nursery to the 8th grade. The emphasis is on the advancement in speech and language made by the children, coupled with their emotional growth. Scenes include documentary footage of deaf children in classrooms. Received: May 4, 1955 as a donation from the Lexington School for the Deaf.
