Summary
| Description | (Critical) This program, part of a symposium on hypertension in office practice, provides the fundamental and practical rationale of the necessity to control blood pressure. The underlying principles of antihypertensive therapy are explained and the consequences of no therapy are described. The omission of further rationale from the Hypertension Detection and Follow-up Program (HDFP) dates the material somewhat, but it is excellently organized and clearly presented. The program is highly recommended for use as a review of this topic. Credits: Louis Tobian, Jr. |
