Summary

Description (Critical) This module, serving as an introduction to a series of eight units of hypertension, defines the disease state; classifies the disorder with statistics and nomenclature; and describes its patterns and patient complications. Prognosis of the disease with and without treatment is compared. Excellent color quality is displayed and appropriate use is made of visual aids, however, remarkably brief viewing time is allotted the tables and graphs. While no particular objectives are specified, the material has broad application potential. Due to the references to subsequent units, the program is highly recommended for use in conjunction with the rest of the series.
