Summary

Description (Critical) This program demonstrates intraoperatively, under a microscope, a technique of surgery for congenital cholesteatoma, a very rare disease. The technique presented is unique in that it allows for removal of a disease that would not otherwise be extirpated. The program is well done and logical in its approach. However, this disease is very rare and the technique is, therefore, rarely used. Thus, it is recommended with reservations for otorhinolaryngologists. Credits: William F. House, W. E. Hitselberger.
