| Description | Details the groundbreaking work of Louis Pasteur in identifying microbes and disease transmission, and his contributions in quashing an epidemic among silkworms as well as efforts against streptococcus infections, sheep anthrax, and chicken cholera. Pictures his experiments in pasteurization and his efforts to develop a vaccine against rabies. The man who plays Pasteur, Roland Tirat, was not an actor but rather a friend of the director who was asked to play the role simply because he resembled Pasteur, He appeared in no other films.
